I Missed My Time
I tried to do a #grwmmakeup in under 10-15 minutes and didn’t make it but at least it came out cute!! 😂
Okay, so my attempt at a 15-minute GRWM didn't quite hit the mark, but that's the beauty of it, right? We all have those mornings where time just vanishes! While I might not have nailed the speed challenge, I've picked up a few tricks over time for when I really need to get ready in a flash, and sometimes, IT'S OKAY TO START OVER if things go awry at the beginning. First off, don't underestimate the power of a good, quick base. Even if you're rushing, a little tinted moisturizer or a sheer foundation can make all the difference. And speaking of speed, sometimes skipping brushes entirely and USING MY HANDS TODAY can be a game-changer! For instance, applying liquid blush or even blending foundation with your fingers can save precious minutes and give a really natural, dewy finish. It’s all about efficient BLEND, BLEND techniques. For eyes, forget complicated palettes. I often go for a QUICK EYESHADOW LOOK WITH BLUSH – yes, you heard that right! A dab of cream blush on the lids, blended out with a finger, gives a cohesive, fresh look in seconds. Then a quick swipe of mascara, and you're good to go. Or, if I am using powder, a fluffy brush to BRUSH AWAY THE POWDER excess quickly is key to avoiding a caked-on look when you're short on time. I’ve been eyeing some products from ONE/SIZE for their setting power, as anything that helps speed up the process is a plus! Another tip I swear by is focusing on one or two key features. If I have time for nothing else, I'll do my brows and a pop of lip color. It instantly makes you look more put-together. And for those moments when you feel like it's all going wrong, remember what I often tell myself: TRY TO DO BETTER WITH embracing imperfections. Sometimes a quick wipe and re-do of one area is faster than trying to fix a messy mistake, and it’s totally fine! Oh, and for overall glow and readiness, I've really been trying to do better with MY VITAMINS. Seriously, when your skin feels good from the inside out, your makeup goes on smoother and you need less of it. It’s part of the pre-makeup routine that actually saves time in the long run. The ultimate secret? Just keep practicing! The more you do a quick routine, the faster you get. Even if you miss your time, as I did, the goal is often just to feel good and step out the door. So laugh it off, enjoy the process, and maybe next time, we'll hit that 15-minute mark!
