Updated skincare routine
I’ve had a love hate relationship with my skin!
Some days I looked great and some days I looked pretty rough lol 😂. And when this happened I would freak out and think I would need to buy new skincare products to fight against my acne!!! BTW this is NOT true!!! Sometimes it just takes those specific products to get you through the toughest of days.
Step 1: Exfoliating Medicated Cleanser (La Roche Posay!!!)
I use this for a daily cleanse of all the oils that could get trapped in my pores after a long day of work to school!!! It leaves your skin soft and the pimples look soooo much smaller and almost unrecognizable!!!
Step 2:Gentle Foaming Facial cleanser (Cerave)
I use this after the la roche posay because of the calming effect it has on my face as a whole but I don’t over do it so my face won’t be overly dry. The niacinamide and ceramides help to calm the skin and give it a very plump hydrated look after you are done using it!!!
Step 3: Gentle Daily Moisturizer (Cerave)
This goes without saying… you must follow up with a good moisturizer!! The tip on how I use this product is that I use it on damp skin!!! If you apply your moisturizer on damp skin it will absorb much faster and with less of a hassle!!!
Step 4: Mineral Sunscreen (Cerave) (use in the daytime)
I use this in the day time before I go outside to protect my skin from all kinds of pollution and UV rays that could be harmful for my skin. Be sure to use this right after your moisturizer while it is still damp so you won’t get the terrible White Cast that follows… let it absorb!!!!
Step 5: dark spot corrector/brightening cream (porcelana) (use at night)
I know this product may be a bit foreign to some people but when I discovered it I was apprehensive and now I cannot stop buying a new container when I run out!!!! Porcelana is great for the skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation pick me up on days when your skin looks all spotty. For me, I decided it was best to use this at night so the product would have time to absorb into each dark spot. I would recommend using this as a spot treatment and not all over your face!!! The product is very thick when applied too liberally!!!
But I leaves my skin look so much better within a week of getting a new dark spot!!!
