Life is just for living ❤️🥀
Hey everyone! As Nia, a Texas artist, I genuinely believe that life is just for living – and not just existing, but truly thriving. It's a philosophy that guides both my art and my everyday. I've been so deeply inspired by the vibrant landscapes and resilient spirit of Texas, and it's taught me so much about embracing every single moment. For me, 'living life to the fullest' means soaking in all the beauty around us, no matter how small. It’s about finding inspiration in a sunset over the west Texas plains or the intricate details of a wildflower blooming in my backyard. As an artist, this translates into an eagerness to experiment, to push boundaries, and to pour my heart into every piece. It's not about perfection, but about the joy of creation and the process of discovery. I often find myself sketching ideas on the fly, whether I'm at a bustling market in Austin or taking a quiet stroll along the Gulf Coast. These spontaneous moments are where true art, and true living, happen. And let's be honest, life isn't always sunshine and roses. There are definitely moments when you have to 'face it head on.' Whether it's an artistic block that feels insurmountable, a personal setback, or just the daily grind, I've learned that retreating only makes things harder. My approach has always been to acknowledge the challenge, take a deep breath, and then strategize. Sometimes 'facing it head on' means stepping back for a moment, gaining perspective, and then diving back in with renewed energy. Other times, it means reaching out to my amazing community of fellow Texas artists for support and advice. We all go through it, and there's immense strength in shared experiences. Being a Texas artist has added such a unique layer to my journey. The vastness of the state, its diverse cultures, and its incredible natural beauty consistently fuel my creativity. From the quirky art scenes in Marfa to the historic missions in San Antonio, there’s an endless well of inspiration. I try to capture that spirit in my work – that blend of resilience, passion, and a touch of wild freedom. My art isn't just about what I see; it's about how I feel when I'm experiencing this incredible place and living my life authentically. So, if there's one thing I hope to share, it's this: don't wait for the perfect moment. Create it. Embrace your passions, whether it's art, music, gardening, or simply exploring your own backyard. When challenges arise, know that you have the strength within you to face them. Learn from them, grow from them, and let them shape you, but never let them stop you from truly living. Life is an incredible canvas – paint it boldly, beautifully, and uniquely you!
