One of the most rewarding parts of being a coach
isn’t just watching an athlete transform physically—it’s watching them grow into the person you always knew they could become.
When Fariha first came to me, she was struggling with nutrition, lacked structure, and was carrying a lot mentally. Throughout this prep, I’ve had the privilege of helping her build confidence, consistency, and belief in herself. Seeing her realize her dream of stepping on a bodybuilding stage for the very first time as a natural athlete has been one of the greatest honors of my coaching career.
This journey has been especially meaningful because she is my very first fellow Bangladeshi athlete. As the first Bangladeshi IFBB Wellness Pro, one of the biggest reasons I stepped into competitive bodybuilding was to show women from our community that we belong here too. That we can be strong, ambitious, take up space unapologetically, and embrace our authentic selves without shrinking to fit someone else’s expectations.
Knowing that my own journey has encouraged another Bangladeshi woman to chase a dream she once thought was out of reach is something I’ll never take for granted.
Next week she’ll step onto the OCB Big Apple stage, and regardless of the outcome, she’s already won by having the courage to begin. I couldn’t be more proud of the woman she’s becoming, and I’m so excited to cheer her on every step of the way.
If you’ve been thinking about starting your own fitness or competitive bodybuilding journey but aren’t sure where to begin, I’d love to help🦋
