🌸 MAISON GARDEN’S SPICY TUNA BOWL & MAJJANG MEIN

Maison Garden’s Spicy Tuna Bowl was vibrant and well-balanced. Fresh tuna with a nice spicy kick, paired with spring onions, fish roes, crunchy fried rice puffs and seasoned rice. The sauce brought that creamy-heat combo without overpowering, and everything came together beautifully in every bite. Light yet filling, with great textures from the crunchy elements and tender tuna. Poke-style bowl done right.

The Majjang Mein was comforting and hearty. Thick, chewy malted noodles coated in a rich, savoury nutty peanut sauce with chunks of charred tuna and cucumbers. The sauce had that deep umami note with just the right thickness — not too heavy but satisfying.

What I loved most about the Spicy Tuna Bowl was how it balanced freshness and texture — the tender fresh tuna paired incredibly well with the crunchy fried rice puffs and fish roes, creating a vibrant mouthfeel every bite. The creamy yet spicy sauce wasn’t overwhelming but gave enough heat to awaken the palate. For those who enjoy poke bowls or Japanese-inspired dishes, this bowl is a must-try for its authentic yet exciting flavors. The Majjang Mein also stood out as an exceptionally comforting dish. The malted noodles were thick and chewy, providing a satisfying base for the rich peanut sauce. Unlike typical peanut sauces that can feel heavy, this one had a beautiful nutty depth with just the right umami notes that complemented the chunks of tuna and crisp cucumbers perfectly. The sauce’s texture was smooth but not greasy, making the dish feel hearty but not overly heavy. From my personal visit, I noticed that Maison Garden’s attention to ingredient quality really made a difference in both dishes. Freshness and texture were clearly prioritized, which elevated the overall dining experience. For anyone searching for food recommendations around Singapore, especially if you enjoy Asian fusion dishes with a spicy creamy twist, this spot offers something unique and satisfying. Additionally, there was a 10% discount on the total food bill during my visit which is a great bonus for new customers wanting to explore their menu. If you enjoy food photography, these dishes also present colorful and appealing visuals that reflect their freshness and careful preparation. Overall, Maison Garden’s Spicy Tuna Bowl and Majjang Mein are fantastic examples of well-executed modern Asian cuisine that I would happily revisit and recommend.
