😭 It Hurts Being Away From You For So Long 🤍🕊️🌙

I woke up with tears in my eyes.

You were there again.

In a dream.

For a moment, everything felt real — your voice, your smile, the way you used to touch my hair and gently hold my face as if I was something precious.

And when I opened my eyes, all I could think was...

Is it really gone?

The person who created those pictures for me. The person who showed me places I had never seen. The person who could make me laugh even when my world was falling apart.

I miss you.

More than I know how to explain.

I don't want to force you to stay where you no longer wish to be. Love was never meant to be a cage.

But I don't want us to become nothing more than moonlight either...

Beautiful for a moment, then gone before morning arrives.

Every time I speak to God about you, hope finds its way back into my heart.

A quiet hope.

A stubborn hope.

The kind that whispers, "Maybe one day."

Maybe one day I'll see you again.

Maybe one day we'll talk again.

Maybe one day I'll hear your laughter and know that all this waiting wasn't for nothing.

Will you let me?

Will you wait for me?

Because if forever has no place here on earth, then I will carry this love beyond time itself.

And if it takes a lifetime, or even until the heavens call us home,

I will still be looking for you.

The songs are gone now.

And somehow that hurts more than I expected.

So tonight, I am left with the same questions my heart keeps asking into the silence:

Where can I find you again?

Where can I read your heart again?

And when will I see you again?

Just stay somewhere beneath the same sky as me.

Until then, I'll keep talking to God about you. :::

Just know this...

It hurts being away from you for so long. 😭

And if the world was ending, I'd still be looking for you in the crowd.

Because all I'd want is one last embrace, one last smile, and one last moment beside you. 🤍🕊️✨

Why is the world so cruel to us?

I don't know.

I only know that I miss you more than my heart knows how to survive. 😭🤍

... Read moreBeing separated from someone you deeply love can be one of the most challenging emotional experiences in life. From personal experience, I've found that expressing these feelings through writing or poetry, much like the heartfelt words in this article, provides a therapeutic outlet. The imagery of moonlight as a symbol for fleeting beauty and enduring love resonates strongly because it illustrates how some connections, though invisible by daylight, continue to linger in our hearts and memories. The poem’s reference to speaking to God and holding on to hope highlights a common way many cope with loss—through faith and silent prayers, finding comfort that perhaps there will be a reunion one day. In my own journey, regularly sharing my feelings with trusted friends or journaling helped me process the complex mix of sorrow and hope. It’s important to recognize that love, even when physically distant or transformed, still holds immense power. The theme of waiting and longing speaks to the human condition of holding onto relationships that have shaped us, allowing love to surpass the constraints of time and space. For anyone going through similar heartache, embracing your feelings, allowing yourself the vulnerability to mourn, and finding creative outlets like poetry or conversation can be a healing path. This poem beautifully captures that delicate balance of pain and hope, urging us to carry love forward even when the world feels cruel. Remember, you are not alone in these feelings; many have walked this path and found that healing comes gradually when we keep the memories and hope alive under the same vast sky.
