It was about implementing small, sustainable changes I could stick with long-term. My focus shifted to mindful eating – truly understanding what fueled my body. This meant prioritizing whole, unprocessed foods, practicing portion control, and significantly reducing sugary drinks and processed snacks. I also found gentle ways to incorporate movement into my daily routine, starting with short walks and gradually progressing to more intense workouts. It’s about finding what you enjoy and what you can maintain, not punishing yourself. Visually, losing 80 pounds is profound. When I was at 250 lbs, I felt physically heavy, sluggish, and constantly self-conscious about how my clothes fit. Simple activities felt exhausting. Now, at 170 lbs, I feel lighter, more agile, and my energy levels are consistently high throughout the day! It’s not just about how I look in a mirror selfie; it’s about the newfound strength, endurance, and confidence I’ve gained.
