MY TOP 8 NEWBORN TIPS 👶🏼🍼

Start putting on diaper cream preventatively- don’t wait for them to get a rash! Their newborn skin is so sensitive and it can happen quick

If you’re breastfeeding- put on nipple butter PREVENTATIVELY- could save a lot of uncomfortableness (I love Earth Mama)

If you have more than one story to your house, do a little diaper changing station on every floor!

Buy only double zipper sleepers- makes it sooo much easier to change them with just legs out so they don’t get cold being undressed

If you are breastfeeding/pumping, instead of washing your pumps after every single use, stick them in the fridge every other time or so instead of washing to cut wash time in half!

Try a sleep sack with arms before a swaddle! If that works, then you won’t have to have a difficult transition off of swaddles once they start rolling

The baby carrier feels difficult at first but once you get the hang of it it’s your BEST 👏🏼 FRIEND 👏🏼 (we use it a year later still)

It’s more cost efficient to just buy carrier instead of a wrap also. The wraps only held my daughter for a very short time even though she was a preemie. They slide down and don’t hold tight/in place. Doesn’t feel very secure to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

... Read moreCaring for a newborn can be overwhelming, but with the right tips, it becomes manageable. One crucial strategy is establishing a diaper changing station on every floor of your home, making it convenient to change diapers quickly when needed. Additionally, consider the benefits of using double zipper sleepers, which allow for easier diaper changes without leaving your baby chilly. When breastfeeding or pumping, simplify your routine by refrigerating your pump parts instead of washing after every use, effectively cutting down on cleaning time. Another important tip is to introduce a sleep sack with arms before transitioning to a swaddle, which can ease the process once your baby starts rolling over. Baby carriers can be incredibly useful, providing hands-free comfort, and it's often more economical to purchase a good carrier rather than a wrap that may not last as long. Remember that these essentials not only make life easier but can also promote a happier, more comfortable environment for your newborn.
