Working out after pregnancy (the ups and downs)

Hey mama!

Finding yourself after having a baby can be hard. My journey for sure hasn’t been an easy one. I wish someone told me sooner that I wasn’t the only one who would feel this way after.

Here’s a few things that have helped me along the way and I hope they help you too 💗

✨ your journey isn’t someone else’s. Don’t compare yourself to someone else (physically or mentally).

✨ your workouts after pregnancy will look different! Your body has changed and now has new areas of focus!

✨ weight gain after pregnancy is perfectly normal! You grew a whole human.

✨ it’s never too late to start taking care of yourself!

It took me almost two years to start hitting the gym consistently.

✨ you can still do all the things you did before baby! It’s all about adjustments and fitting baby in to your life in every way.

✨ YOU’RE A GREAT MOM!

... Read moreAfter giving birth, many mothers grapple with physical and emotional challenges as they embark on their postpartum fitness journey. It's important to understand that everyone's experience is unique, and comparison can hinder progress. For new moms, weight gain after pregnancy is completely normal; you’ve nurtured a life, and your body deserves compassion and patience. One essential aspect of postpartum workouts is recognizing that the body has undergone significant changes, and workouts will likely need to be adjusted to accommodate these new realities. Establishing a consistent fitness routine may take time—it's common for mothers to find their rhythm long after giving birth. Celebrate every victory, no matter how small. Realizing that strength comes from embracing your current capabilities rather than striving for a pre-pregnancy 'bounce back' can foster a healthier mindset. Additionally, finding a supportive community can make a huge difference. Engaging with other moms who understand the journey can provide motivation and reassurance. Online platforms, fitness classes, and local groups can offer shared experiences that empower new mothers to commit to their health. Whether it's mild exercises during nap time or a fun workout with baby, integrating fitness into daily life is crucial. Lastly, remember: you are doing great! Prioritizing your well-being not only benefits you but also sets a positive example for your little one. Focusing on mental health is as vital as physical fitness—consider activities that nourish your mind and spirit. Embrace your journey with love and understanding, and know that every step forward is a step in the right direction.
