handling the election results:

many people (including myself) are absolutely devastated with this years election results. i wanted to share someways you can cope with this in hopes we can come together and achieve peace 💙.

focusing your energy on things you can control:

- with the election over, sadly there is nothing we can do at this point to change anything regarding the results. BUT, what we can do, is invest our energy into things we ARE in control of. i will be focusing my energy on the things in my life that give me happiness and peace!

thinking about the positives:

- everyone is entitled to their opinions and personal beliefs. even though you might not agree with how things turned out, you’re opinions are still VALID and that’s very important to remember and remind yourself. you have a large group of people standing with you who feel the same way you do, even if you don’t feel like it right now.

refraining from watching the news:

- watching the news in general is very stress inducing. with the election results being the hot topic of discussion right now, steer clear of that! the stress and disbelief is not worth it when it comes to your mental health💙

remaining kind:

- don’t allow your disappointment and difference in opinion as a way to speak harshly to others. hatred doesn’t benefit ANYONE and closes the gap and chance of putting differences aside and working together as a community for what’s right.

be proud of yourself

- be proud of yourself for fighting for what you believe in! and never forget that even though it didn’t turn out how you wanted, you still were provided with the chance to advocate and speak up!

i love you and hope you are doing well.
