The updates that keep me going! 🥹🩷
This sweet girl who I initially found as sadly another dumped and abandoned dog in Fresno County, Ca last year. I have the video of where I first found her posted on my page. She was fortunately pulled from our shelter by one of our amazing 501c3 Rescue Partners who put a lot of TLC into this once young puppy that so desperately needed it at the time. They named her Priscilla (after me🥹), got her spayed and eventually adopted her out to an amazing family where she is SO loved the way she was always intended to be. You wouldn’t even recognize her now from the scared little mangey pup she once was. This job is so emotionally and physically taxing at times, but these are the updates that make every hard day, SO worth it. 🫶🏼🐾 #adoptdontshop #fresno #california #rescue #dogrescue #update #puppiesoftiktok #dogsoftiktok #animallovers #foryou #fypシ
It's a moment you never forget – the first time you lay eyes on an animal desperately in need. For me, it was spotting a small, scruffy dog with matted, dirty fur and those striking blue eyes in a kennel. You could clearly see the visible skin irritation on her face and chest, reflecting her abandoned state when she was first rescued. It broke my heart, imagining what she had endured out there alone in Fresno County. Finding an abandoned animal is just the first step. The real heroes are the incredible 501c3 rescue partners who step in, providing that much-needed Tender Loving Care. They are the backbone of animal welfare, dedicating countless hours and resources to heal, spay or neuter, and rehabilitate these vulnerable creatures. This sweet girl, who was later named Priscilla, received all the care she deserved, transforming from a neglected pup into a healthy, fluffy dog. Watching the transformation unfold is truly the most rewarding part of this journey. From a scared, mangey little furball, she blossomed into a dog with a clean coat and calm demeanor, eventually lying relaxed and happy on a sunny wooden floor. Her light brown and white fur gleaming, a stark contrast to her initial condition. This is the magic of rescue – seeing an animal heal not just physically, but emotionally, learning to trust and love again. The ultimate goal is always to find a forever home, a place where these animals can thrive and be loved unconditionally. When adoption day comes, it's a mix of emotions – sadness to say goodbye, but overwhelming joy knowing she's going to a family where she'll be cherished. This sweet girl now has a family that loves her the way she was always intended to be loved, a testament to the power of compassion and second chances. These heartwarming updates are what keep me going, especially on the challenging days. They remind me why every effort, every tear, and every ounce of energy poured into animal rescue is incredibly worth it. If you're considering adding a pet to your family, I wholeheartedly encourage you to #adoptdontshop. There are countless animals like Priscilla waiting for their own happy ending in shelters and rescues across the country. Your decision to adopt could literally save a life and bring immense joy into your home.
