📝 Ingredients

For the chicken:

    •    1 cup low-fat buttermilk (or 1 cup unsweetened almond milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice as a swap)

    •    1 tsp garlic powder

    •    ½ tsp smoked paprika

    •    ½ tsp salt

    •    ½ tsp black pepper

For the coating (lighter):

    •    ½ cup almond flour (or whole wheat flour)

    •    ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (can use gluten-free or whole wheat)

    •    1 tsp garlic powder

    •    ½ tsp paprika

    •    ¼ tsp salt

For the honey glaze (light):

    •    2 tbsp honey

    •    1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

    •    1 tsp olive oil or avocado oil

🔪 Instructions

    1.    Marinate chicken

    •    Mix buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    •    Add chicken, cover, and refrigerate 1–4 hours.

    2.    Coat chicken

    •    In a bowl, mix almond flour, panko, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.

    •    Remove chicken from marinade, let excess drip.

    •    Dredge in coating (it will be lighter than full breading, but still crisp).

    3.    Air fry
