Did you know you can make banana bread with 4 ingredients?

Nothing humbles you faster than buying bananas with “good intentions” and then watching them turn into banana bread ingredients overnight. So here we are… thriving.

At this point, I don’t even buy bananas—I buy future banana bread.

🍌 Banana Bread (from my Bulk Dry Mix posted on my page )

What you need:

- 2 cups banana bread bulk dry mix

- 2–3 ripe bananas (mashed)

- 2 eggs

- 1/2 cup oil

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prep a loaf pan.

2. Mash bananas like they personally offended you.

3. Mix in eggs, oil, and vanilla.

4. Add dry mix and stir until just combined

5. Pour into pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.

6. Cool slightly, slice, and pretend you’ll “just have one piece.”

Spoiler: you won’t.

... Read moreMaking banana bread with just four ingredients is not only simple but also a great way to use up those overripe bananas that often get forgotten. One tip I've found helpful is to always choose bananas with plenty of brown spots for maximum sweetness and moisture. When mixing, be careful not to overmix the batter; gently folding the ingredients helps keep the bread tender. Using a bulk dry mix for banana bread can save a lot of prep time, especially when baking frequently. You can make your own bulk dry mix by combining flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in advance and storing it in an airtight container. This makes baking quick and convenient on busy days. In my experience, substituting half of the oil with applesauce can reduce the fat content and keep the bread moist. Also, adding a teaspoon of cinnamon or nutmeg can add a nice warm flavor twist without complicating the ingredient list. For those who love texture in their banana bread, tossing in a handful of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips before baking is an easy upgrade. Just sprinkle them on top or gently fold them into the batter. Finally, when baking, it’s important to test doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs, your banana bread is ready to come out of the oven. Let it cool slightly before slicing to achieve clean cuts. This straightforward 4-ingredient banana bread is a perfect beginner’s recipe but also a great base for experimenting with flavors and additions according to your preference.
