Meal prep for the week✨
Starting My Meal-Prepping Journey! 🥗
This week, I’m diving into meal prepping as a new habit to kickstart a healthier lifestyle! I’m aiming to stay in a calorie deficit, but since I can’t find my food scale right now, I’ll be focusing on smaller portion sizes and rough estimates to keep things simple and manageable just for this week.
For this week’s plan, I’ve prepped 12 meals (6 lunch and 6 dinner) to last me six days, with Saturdays reserved as my “cheat day.” Here’s a quick breakdown of some meal calorie estimates:
• Basmati rice: *210 calories
• Broccoli and rotini pasta: *320 calories
• Rotini pasta and veggies: *300 calories
• Beef and bell peppers: *280 calories (guessing based on a Google search)
• 3/4 cup of teriyaki chicken thighs: *250 calories (guessing based on a Google search)
I’d like to stay within a 1600-calorie deficit, so after these meals, I’m left with roughly 520-540 calories. These will be allocated toward any emotional snacking I may need throughout the day because life is always life-ing 🤣 but I’ll make sure they’re healthy options of course!
Meal prepping is all about progress, not perfection, so I’ll be learning as I go and exploring more ideas to make it even better. By the end of next year, I hope to have a better handle on my food choices, lean toward using more whole foods and less processed foods, and be fully in tune with what I consume. For now, I’m taking it one step at a time and staying committed to building healthier habits. Let’s do this! 💪
