I’m not here to gatekeep so I’m sharing what worked for me and what didn’t to transform my body and lose the unwanted body fat.
What DIDN’T work for me 👇
-Working out 6-7 days a week and doing 8-12 exercises per workout.
-Eating 1200-1500 calories eating “super clean” and restricting myself of majority of foods.
-Hours of intense cardio every week and never giving my body rest to recover.
What DID work for me 👇
-Prioritizing rest and finding balance so working out 5x a week instead and doing 3-5 exercises per workout.
-Eating more over time and eating closer to 2400 calories a day to repair my metabolism and focusing on a high protein diet and not restricting myself anymore which healed my ED.
-Changing my daily habits and treating this as a LIFESTYLE not something temporary. Habits like moving my body, going for more walks, incorporating more movement from things I enjoy doing like hiking/running.
Remember the biggest key to being successful in your fitness journey is to just stay consistent.
Consistency will get you so far vs trying to be perfect.
... Read moreEmbarking on a fitness journey can be overwhelming, filled with trials and errors. Many individuals struggle with the right approach to weight loss, often falling into common pitfalls. For instance, excessive workouts and severe calorie restriction can lead to burnout and metabolic issues. Instead, focusing on a balanced routine has proven beneficial for many.
Adopting a healthier approach involves prioritizing rest, which not only prevents injury but also aids muscle recovery. Incorporating moderate exercise, like walking or hiking, can make workouts enjoyable and sustainable in the long run. Additionally, embracing a high-protein diet while gradually increasing caloric intake helps in repairing metabolism and achieving weight loss goals without feeling deprived.
It's crucial to remember that fitness is not just a phase but a lifestyle. Establishing daily habits that promote movement and enjoyment can significantly enhance motivation. Consistency is the key; aiming for perfection can deter progress. Rather, staying consistent with realistic goals helps maintain momentum.
By sharing my experiences, I hope to encourage others to adopt practices that foster a positive and sustainable relationship with fitness, so they can enjoy the journey towards their health and wellness goals.
