I spent years running hard…

just to end up right back where I started.

Chasing money?

It filled my schedule…

Added numbers to my bank account

but left my life feeling empty.

Busy fooled me.

Speed lied to me.

“Success” kept moving the finish line.

Turns out…

nothing out there was ever going to give me what I was chasing.

What I was really after?

Freedom.

Freedom of time.

Freedom to be who I am.

To do what I want… when I want.

Not a life designed by “out there”

but one designed by me.

So I stopped chasing.

Now?

I move slow.

On purpose.

On my terms.

That’s success to me. Period.

... Read moreThroughout my own journey, I've come to realize that the relentless chase for external achievements often leaves us feeling hollow despite apparent success. This experience resonates deeply with the phrase I captured in an image—"NEVER FEEL GUILTY FOR DOING WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!"—which reminds us that prioritizing our well-being is essential. For years, I believed that filling my schedule with activities and focusing solely on financial gain would eventually bring happiness. However, I found that the busier and faster I moved, the more elusive my sense of fulfillment became. The concept of “success” kept slipping further away, as if moving the finish line every time I got close. It was only when I embraced the idea of slowing down—intentionally choosing to live life on my own terms—that I discovered what true freedom means. Freedom of time, freedom to be authentic, and freedom to engage in activities that nourish my soul rather than deplete it. This shift allowed me to reclaim control of my life, moving away from external pressures and societal expectations toward a genuine, personalized definition of success. From my perspective, success isn't about how much you can accumulate or how fast you can run toward ever-changing goals. Instead, it's about creating space to breathe, reflect, and live purposefully. Adopting this mindset helped me prioritize meaningful connections, personal growth, and self-care without guilt. It’s a powerful reminder that living your best life starts with honoring what’s best for you, even if that means doing less, moving slowly, and reevaluating what really matters. If you find yourself trapped in the cycle of chasing endless goals and feeling unfulfilled, consider slowing down. Challenge the narrative that busyness equals success, and allow yourself the freedom to design a life that feels truly yours. After all, success is subjective and deeply personal—it’s about what makes you feel whole, energized, and free.

Such an important reminder. Choosing yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary for your well being and growth.

I spent almost 5 years in federal prison, and one of the greatest lessons I learned while I was in prison was that the secrets I thought I was keeping were actually keeping me. I met a woman in prison that helped me find my way out. I had been searching for freedom and one day a woman stood up a
