8 Named Individuals Charged in Ontario Truck Driver Exam Bribery Scandal! 🚛⚖️
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have publicly named the eight people facing a total of 24 Criminal Code charges in an alleged bribery scheme tied to commercial Class A road tests.
The investigation (started Jan 2024 at the Ministry of Transportation’s request) uncovered claims that bribes were paid for “favourable consideration” during exams in Kingston and the GTA.
The accused (presumed innocent until proven guilty):
1. Jaspal Benipal, 58, Brampton
2. Harmandeep Sudan, 40, Brampton
3. Navdeep Grewal, 36, Brampton
4. Vishnu Ayyamperumal Kumar, 36, Oshawa
5. Victor Imade, 55, Georgetown
6. Imraan Jaffer, 43, North York
7. Craig Berry, 54, Kingston
8. Mandeep Manshahia, 34, Caledon
They appeared in court starting Jan. 28, 2026.
This has serious implications for road safety if unqualified drivers are on the highways.
