Stomach ache at the doctors office!Nerves…

Awaiting results from lab…

See the look on my face !🥹😙😙😙

Oh, I can hear the clock !

Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick !!

Nothing like waiting for a doctor to come back with any news!!

2025/8/29 Edited to

... Read moreUgh, that feeling of being stuck at the doctor's office, especially when you're dealing with a stomach ache, is just the worst, right? I know exactly what you mean by those 'nerves' and hearing the clock 'tick tick tick.' It’s a universal experience that can really get inside your head. When your stomach is aching, it's so hard to think about anything else. I’ve been there, feeling that deep concern and the worried, pensive expression reflecting right back at me in the mirror, waiting for news. It’s a reminder of why it’s always important to get persistent stomach pain checked out by a professional, rather than just guessing. One thing I always wonder, and maybe you do too, is 'why does the doctor feel your stomach?' It seems so simple, but it's actually a crucial part of the examination. When a doctor gently presses on different areas of your abdomen, they're not just being nosy! They're carefully checking for tenderness, swelling, any unusual lumps, or changes in organ size. This physical palpation helps them narrow down potential causes for your stomach pain, guiding them towards the right tests or diagnosis. It’s part of their detective work to figure out what's really going on inside. And then there’s the notorious 'health anxiety googling symptoms.' Oh, how tempting it is when you’re waiting for real medical results! I can admit, I've fallen down that rabbit hole more times than I can count. You start with a simple symptom, and suddenly you're convinced you have the rarest, most serious condition known to humankind. It’s a vicious cycle that almost always makes the anxiety worse, not better. My personal experience is that while searching for information feels like gaining control, it often just amplifies worry and that concerned feeling. So, what helps when you're stuck in that anxious waiting game? I've found a few things that help me when I’m feeling worried and waiting for news. First, distraction is key. Try reading a book, listening to a podcast, or even just scrolling through something light on your phone – anything to shift your focus from the 'what ifs.' Deep breathing exercises can also be a lifesaver; just a few slow, steady breaths can calm that racing heart. Talking to a trusted friend or family member can also make a huge difference. Just verbalizing your concerns aloud can lessen their power. Sometimes, I even just journal my worried thoughts – getting them out on paper feels like releasing a bit of the pressure. It’s about reminding myself that I’ve done my part by seeing a doctor, and now it’s time to let the experts do theirs. Documenting these moments, even with a quick selfie, can sometimes be a way to process it or connect with others who understand the wait. It truly helps to remember you’re not alone in that pensive expression while waiting for medical results.
