BEST Heat Protectant for 4c hair girlies 🎀🪮

Listen, I am not the type to just randomly buy a heat protection so believe me when I tell you these products are actually worth it. Honestly, these definitely work for MAJORITY (if not all of hair textures. ⭐️But I know as a 4C hair girl it can be really hard to find a heat protectant that ACTUALLY works well for your hair, but these ones definitely DO !!!Whether you are a blow dry hair girly or just straighten hair girly, I’d use these. All of these heat protections are all good for your hair, especially as a 4c hair girl if I wanted to strain my hair in the summer, these are the products I would use. They worked so well with actually maintaining the frizz so that way the frizz doesn’t get crazy, especially with this heat wave we’ve been getting lately. If you somehow wanna straighten your hair this summer these are the products I would reach for. You can find these on Amazon, Ulta, beauty, your local hair supply store.

⭐️NO. 7 OLAPLEX $30 WORTH IT I PROMISE ( ALITTLE GOES A LONG WAY)

⭐️KENRA BLOW-DRY SPRAY (around $20-$25)

⭐️CAMILLE ROSE TEMP TAMER (around $13-$15)

⭐️CHI 44 Iron Guard: ~$10–$18 (depending on the size u get)

❓ Have you tried any of these? Did you like them?

... Read moreHey beauties! We all know the journey of navigating 4C natural hair can be a unique one, especially when it comes to heat styling. For years, I struggled to find heat protectants that actually delivered on their promises without leaving my coils feeling stiff or weighed down. But trust me, after countless trials, I’ve found a few holy grail products that have completely transformed my heat styling routine, keeping my hair healthy, moisturized, and frizz-free. If you're a 4C girl like me, you know protecting our precious strands from heat damage is non-negotiable, whether you're blow-drying for definition or going for a sleek straighten. Let's dive deeper into why these specific products have become my go-to: Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil: This isn't just any oil; it's a bond builder! For my 4C hair, which can be prone to breakage, Olaplex No. 7 is a lifesaver. A little truly goes a long way, and it not only offers incredible heat protection but also helps to repair and strengthen your hair's bonds. I've noticed a significant difference in my hair's resilience when using this before any heat application. It's like an extra layer of armor for those delicate coils. KENRA Blow-Dry Spray: Okay, if you're serious about protecting your hair and cutting down on drying time, you need this. My biggest struggle with blow-drying 4C hair was always how long it took, exposing my hair to heat for extended periods. The Kenra Blow-Dry Spray literally speeds up drying time, which means less heat exposure overall! Plus, it leaves my hair feeling super smooth and easy to style, while also protecting it from temperatures up to 450°F. It's a game-changer for reducing frizz in humid weather, which is essential for us. Camille Rose Temp Tamer Heat Protect Mist: This one is a fantastic option if you're looking for something that really focuses on moisture. For 4C hair, maintaining moisture is key, and this mist does an amazing job of keeping my strands hydrated while still shielding them from heat styling damage. I love how it helps prevent moisture loss during styling, ensuring my hair doesn't feel brittle afterward. It's especially great for those days when you just want a light mist before a quick touch-up. CHI 44 Iron Guard: When it comes to flat ironing, the CHI 44 Iron Guard is my go-to. It’s specifically designed to protect hair from flat iron heat damage, and I can attest to its effectiveness. It creates a powerful barrier, guarding against those really high temperatures that flat irons can reach. Using this, I feel confident that my hair is well-protected, and it definitely helps reduce moisture loss, leaving my straightened hair feeling soft and looking shiny, not fried. Beyond choosing the right products, how you apply them and your overall heat styling technique makes all the difference for 4C hair. Here are some tips I swear by: Start with Clean, Detangled Hair: Always apply heat protectant to freshly washed and detangled hair. This ensures even distribution and prevents product buildup. Sectioning is Your Friend: Divide your hair into small, manageable sections. This allows you to thoroughly apply the protectant to every strand, from root to tip. For thicker 4C hair, don't skimp on the sections! Even Distribution, Not Saturation: Spray or smooth the product evenly. You want good coverage, but avoid over-saturating your hair, which can make it heavy or greasy. Air Dry Partially (Optional): If time permits, letting your hair air dry to about 60-70% before blow-drying can further minimize heat exposure. Use Low to Medium Heat Settings: Our 4C strands are delicate. Always opt for the lowest effective heat setting on your blow dryer or flat iron. High heat isn't necessarily better; it's just more damaging. Tension is Key for Blow-Drying: When blow-drying, use good tension with a brush to stretch your hair, which helps reduce the need for excessive heat passes. Deep Condition Regularly: Heat styling can be drying, so incorporate regular deep conditioning treatments into your regimen to replenish moisture and strengthen your hair. Finding the right heat protectant for your 4C hair can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack, but these products have genuinely made a difference for me. They not only protect but also contribute to healthier, more manageable hair, even when I decide to switch up my style with heat. Give them a try, and let me know how they work for your beautiful coils!
