Some new faces here so I thought it was time for a reintroduction
I’m Alex, a makeup artist and beauty educator with 18 years experience in the beauty industry. My career in beauty started on a makeup counter and I have worked my way up into beauty PR and Education. I have led masterclasses for different brands all over the world.
I’m originally from the Gold Coast, Australia and have now lived and worked in 5 countries. My first career was as a professional ballerina, which is why I’ve traveled for my whole adult life. I’m now settled in Southern California (which I love).
Last year I made the decision to leave my global role with a big beauty company and pursue other opportunities within the beauty space. I love creating content for women over 40, and making beauty feel accessible to everyone.
Fun Facts:
Being a ballerina was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, (I’ve heard the word no A LOT) but it also gave me grit and resilience.
I have a daughter, 2 stepdaughters and a stepson and have lived in the US for almost 14 years and married for almost 11!
During covid I went to Nutrition School. I love cooking, eating healthy and working out. I also love wine! (balance!)
I’m half Greek which I’m very proud of but sadly I don’t speak the language.
