The #midterms have finally happened, and a blue wave was at the rendez-vous. While a lot of people are celebrating, and please go ahead. Whatever keeps you going. For a lot of us, this is barely the beginning. For #transpeople we saw anti- #trans democrats win as well as ballot measures tha

The high court in #aotearoa #newzealand has struck down the ban on pubertal suppressants (also commonly known as #pubertyblockers ) as they clearly stated that this was discrimination and not backed by scientific evidence. This is a good win for #transrights in the country after they’ve

A bar in #princeedwardisland has illegally refused a #transwoman access to the correct bathroom. This sort of anti- #trans discrimination is unacceptable and unfortunately has happened right here in Turtle Island/Canada. Now, if you’d like to help, I encourage you to go support the band tha

Another day, another spineless #democrat #annieandrews in #southcarolina who decided to signal to millions of people, that #trans people should be dehumanized and abandoned. The words were purposeful and incredibly bigoted. Yet, it’s also a losing strategy that we’ve seen play out over and

Hey girl, let’s talk about your boyfriend/husband. If they are openly anti- #trans or has some other type of #bigotry they’re unwilling to let go of, maybe it’s time for that relationship to end. This isn’t about abusive relationships, those are different and I urge you to contact your local

#lanterns and #tedlasso continue casually normalizing a bigoted franchise that funds my community’s eradication. #trans people, and more broadly queer people and women deserve better than this. Especially from shows like Ted Lasso that purports to care about others.

With this increase in anti- #trans positions and statements from supposed #democrats in the US, a reminder is in needed: you cannot demand of a minority to vote for you, if you will not defend that minority. #transpeople in the US are facing an increasingly dire situation. And the only part

Hey Québec, it’s election time. With our provincial elections underway, here’s some basic info on dates. For info on where they stand politically, I recommend @isaacapeltz and the breakdown videos they’ve done on the subject. #electionsquebec #quebecsolidaire #partiquebecois #partilib

The City of Paris is setting the example by refusing to allow intolerance to go unpunished. They’ve submitted formal complaints on hateful messages that qualified as hate speech to the courts. And while I have many issues and concerns with how France overall treats its Queer population, this is on

#lillywachowski one of the two creators for #thematrix spoke out against #jkrowling and those who still consume #harrypotter products and shows. And she rightfully went off on all of them as there is no “separate the art from the artist” here.

So #petehegseth wanting to give #testosterone shots (which is a form of #genderaffirmingcare ) and yearly screenings, is peak hypocrisy. Given how he kicked out #trans soldiers last year stating that HRT was “too costly”. Apparently not, when it comes to cis men.

When it comes to the impossible standard set on #transpeople we also have to view it from its history rooted in the oppresion of those deemed “other”. The way #trans people are treated is by design, similar to the way a #misogynistic society treats women. Setting up impossible standard for

So what’s all this about the files and #transpeople ? Well it’s a whole lot of anti- #trans discussions and #pseudoscience by #roberttrivers We have STEM researcher #evlnichols to thank for her report on this.
