i’ll be honest: i don’t know much about the life of pharaoh cleopatra, but the way saara el-arifi is tackling these moments in history is eloquent & gripping. i feel like i can connect with some of cleopatra’s struggles, doubts, and fears - even though i am nowhere near the status of a pharaoh.
