My Fitness Journey💪🏋️‍♀️🥕🥒

New to Lemon8!

Hello Loves!

My name is Tiara

33 Yrs Old

I am new to the community and have been on my fitness journey for a few months. My starting weight was 230 lbs this year; if you check the last photo, it is my current weight. I'm not too focused on the scale but more so based on how I look and feel. Going through this journey is exciting, and some days you want to quit or cheat 😂. I started to accept that the journey is not perfect, but the beauty of it is making that slow progression every day and watching the results occur overtime. I welcome any ideas or suggestions for my fitness journey.

... Read moreHello, fellow journey-takers! It's truly inspiring to see so many of us dedicated to our well-being. When I started my own fitness journey, I realized it's so much more than just a number on the scale. While those progress photos and weight transformations are amazing motivators, the real win is how you *feel*—your energy, your confidence, and how your clothes fit. I learned to celebrate small victories, like feeling stronger during workouts or choosing a healthier snack option, rather than obsessing over daily fluctuations. One game-changer for me has been consistent meal prep. It takes the guesswork out of healthy eating and prevents those 'what's for dinner?' panic moments that lead to unhealthy choices. I usually dedicate a few hours on Sunday to get everything ready for the week. My grocery list often includes fresh produce like bags of spinach, creamy avocados, juicy cherry tomatoes, and bundles of crisp asparagus. For proteins, I stock up on lean chicken breast, fresh shrimp, and delicious salmon fillets. Pairing these with brown rice makes for quick, balanced meals. For instance, I'll bake chicken and asparagus, or sauté shrimp with some veggies, and portion them out into containers. It’s simple, effective, and ensures I have nutritious options readily available, saving both time and money. While I love my healthy meals, I also believe in balance. Treats like a delicious pancake with fresh strawberries and blueberries are okay in moderation—it’s about sustainability, not deprivation! Let's be real, there will be days when motivation dips, or you crave something 'off-plan.' I've had plenty of those moments where I just wanted to quit or cheat! The key is not to let one slip-up derail your entire journey. Instead, acknowledge it, learn from it, and get right back on track with your next meal or workout. Consider adjusting your my-fitness-mode to include activities you genuinely enjoy. Maybe it's dancing, hiking, or even just a brisk walk with a friend. Finding joy in movement makes it sustainable. Don't forget to track your progress in ways that resonate with you. While the scale shows numbers like my initial 224.4 lbs and current 211.2 lbs, taking regular progress photos is incredibly powerful. Seeing the visual changes, like how a waist trainer fits differently, can be a huge boost. It reminds you how far you've come and fuels your drive to keep going. Remember, every small step forward is progress, and consistency truly is more important than perfection. What are your favorite tips for staying motivated? I’d love to hear them! Let's keep supporting each other on this amazing growth journey.

My fitness journey ~ real life
I’ve been consistently working out and being food conscious for a while now. It’s still a struggle every day to wake up, eat clean, move my body, and get enough rest. Give yourself some grace. It’s never going to be easy. You just have to want it enough to be disciplined. #getfitwithme💪🏽 #fitnes

3 mistakes I made early in my fitness journey ✨
You all loved the last one so here’s another one 🥳 Please please please don’t cut your calories down to 1200-1500 calories, you’re doing more harm than good. With losing weight most people think that you have to go to extremes with your diet and eat salads and chicken and broccoli everyday. That

Things I learned on my fitness journey.
1.) Don’t rely solely on motivation. You’re not going to always be motivated. Just be consistent and keep showing up for yourself. 2.) Slow progress is better than no progress. 3.) The more you show up the easier it is to form healthy habits and make fitness apart of your lifestyle. 4.) No

A woman in light blue athletic wear stands outdoors, looking over her shoulder. The image features the title "Mistakes I would avoid IF I WAS NEW TO THE GYM AGAIN," setting the theme for fitness advice.
A smiling woman in a hat holds a bitten slice of watermelon while in the water. The text overlay emphasizes "FOOD IS NOT AN ENEMY," explaining that increased calorie intake led to desired fitness results.
A close-up shows a person's feet in white socks and light-colored sneakers on a tiled floor. The text states, "MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE NOT PUNISHMENT," advising to get back on track normally after missing workouts or eating indulgently.
MISTAKES I WOULD AVOID IN MY FITNESS JOURNEY!
If I were to do it all over again these are the things I would tell myself to avoid making some of the same mistakes I did that just cost me time:) It’s ok to learn from your mistakes too and what works for me might not work for everyone so just keep that in mind. #Lemon8partner #workout
