My favourite seafood in Korea

6/6 Edited to

... Read moreTraveling to Korea introduced me to an incredible variety of fresh and flavorful seafood that left a lasting impression. One of my fondest memories was enjoying dishes like grilled clams, spicy squid stir-fries, and sashimi that tasted unlike anything back home. Sharing this journey with my best friend made each meal even more meaningful, creating moments we still cherish. Korean seafood is often celebrated for its freshness and diversity, influenced by the country’s extensive coastlines. Markets like Noryangjin in Seoul offer live seafood selections, allowing you to pick and taste just-caught delicacies prepared right in front of you. I found that trying these local culinary experiences helped me appreciate the culture behind the dishes, from the use of fermented sauces to spicy seasoning unique to Korea. If you visit Korea, don't miss out on exploring both the traditional seafood restaurants and street vendors. From the sizzling hot plates of haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) to the aromatic bowls of spicy seafood stew (jjigae), the flavors are vibrant and comforting. Each meal was a discovery, bringing us closer to Korean food culture and making our trip extraordinarily memorable. Sharing these delightful moments and dishes with a close friend added a personal touch that enriched the experience further. Food has an incredible way of bonding people, and Korea’s seafood certainly did that for us through fresh tastes and shared enjoyment. I highly recommend embracing both the adventure and the cuisine when exploring Korean seafood.

This is such a hidden gem located in City Hall subway station. I have no idea what’s the name of their restaurant as it’s all written in Korean and the google translation don’t work on their logos 🙂‍↕️ However, I do recognise it by their shopfront and the adorable ajusshi! He’s super welcoming a
