I encapsulated my Placenta

#beautyfavorites #lemon8challenge

So I encapsulated my placenta after my pregnancy!

Encapsulation of the placenta may help with…

Mood stabilization: The hormones in the placenta may help with mood fluctuations after childbirth.

Increased milk production: The placenta contains prolactin, which may increase milk production for breastfeeding mothers.

Pain relief: The placenta may release endorphins, which can act as painkillers.

Energy boost: The placenta contains nutrients and hormones that may help with fatigue.

... Read morePlacenta encapsulation is gaining popularity among new mothers as a holistic approach to support postpartum recovery. This practice involves drying and grinding the placenta into a powder, which can be consumed in capsules. Advocates claim that the nutrients and hormones found in the placenta, such as prolactin and estrogen, may aid in mood stabilization, alleviate postpartum depression, and boost energy levels. Additionally, some women report enhanced lactation due to the prolactin content, potentially making breastfeeding easier. Pain relief is another benefit that many mothers appreciate; the endorphins released from the placenta may help relieve discomfort associated with childbirth. It's important to consider personal preferences and consult with healthcare providers before deciding on this practice, as individual experiences and results can vary. Making an informed choice will empower mothers to enhance their postpartum care while considering the benefits of placenta encapsulation.

When my doula first suggested I keep my placenta, I didn’t see the point because I didn’t want to eat it. She suggested creating a fertilizer with it and using it in my garden, and then I was in. It’s truly remarkable how your body changes during pregnancy, and I wanted a way to honor that. Highly
