Should I just go no contact?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 months, but it’s been constant ups and downs. He pressured me to move to his city after 2 months, wanted a promise ring after 3, and every time I “hurt” him, he breaks up with me and even messages his exes. He’s already emotionally cheated once.

Recently, during a fight, he cursed me out and I threw a bouquet of flowers I bought onto his sofa before leaving. He tossed it out into the street right after. That moment just broke me.

I feel like he doesn’t even like me — he pushes me away, then reels me back in with gifts and big gestures. I’m exhausted.

Would it be overreacting to go completely no contact and walk away for good?

... Read moreDealing with a partner who constantly pushes you away and then pulls you back with gifts or grand gestures can be emotionally draining. This kind of behavior fits a familiar pattern known as 'push and pull,' which is often present in toxic or emotionally manipulative relationships. Emotional cheating and disrespect, such as cursing you out or involving exes, are serious red flags indicating an unhealthy dynamic. Choosing to go no contact means completely cutting off communication to protect your mental health and regain control of your life. While it might feel extreme, many relationship experts advise that no contact is an effective way to break free from cycles of abuse, manipulation, and emotional exhaustion. It helps create space to heal, reset your boundaries, and clarify what you truly deserve. If you’re feeling exhausted from constant ups and downs, it’s important to remember that no relationship should leave you feeling unloved or unvalued. Friends, family, or a counselor can offer support as you navigate your feelings and decisions. Setting clear boundaries and prioritizing your emotional safety is not overreacting—it’s self-care. Remember, the act of going no contact isn’t about punishment; it’s about reclaiming your peace and well-being. Trust your instincts and do what feels right for you. You deserve respect, consistency, and happiness in a relationship.

DO NOT break no contact. Especially when you miss him . Do this instead :
1. Record a video diary saying everything you want to say to him (don't send it). 2. Write the message in your Notes app and let it sit for 24 hours. 3. If you have someone, send it to them. 4. Go on a 15-minute "dopamine walk" no phone, just move your body and let the urge pass.
