THIS IS WHAT THE SOVEREIGN LORD JEHOVAH(YHWH) HAS SAID: ‘…HERE I AM CREATING NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH AND THE FORMER THINGS WILL NOT BE CALLED TO MiND, NEITHER WILL THEY COME UP

INTO THE HEART.’ “

—Isaiah 65:13, 17; also see 2 Peter 3:13.

... Read moreReading Matthew 18:23-35, one is struck by the profound lesson on forgiveness it conveys through the parable of the unforgiving servant. This passage not only highlights the importance of mercy but also ties deeply with the theme of renewal introduced in Isaiah 65:17 and 2 Peter 3:13, where God promises new heavens and a new earth free from past pains. From my personal study, what stands out is the transformative power of forgiving others as God forgives us. Holding onto resentment can weigh down one’s spirit, making it difficult to embrace the newness that God offers. Each time I reflect on these scriptures, I am reminded to release grudges and approach life with grace, which feels like a spiritual renewal. The New World Translation’s wording helps readers grasp the original intent by emphasizing that 'former things will not be called to mind,' suggesting a total fresh start. This complements the parable’s call for a heart free from debt of bitterness, reflecting a holistic renewal—both internal and external. In daily life, practicing forgiveness inspired by Matthew 18:23-35 can lead to much healthier relationships and personal peace. It’s about acknowledging human faults and extending compassion, which aligns seamlessly with the broader biblical promise of restoration and hope. This perspective deeply enriches the understanding of God’s plan as a continuous cycle of forgiveness and renewal, motivating believers to keep striving toward spiritual growth and harmony.

Matthew Chapters 8 through 10 are a massive turning point. We move from Jesus doing the work by Himself to Him building His team and launching them out on their very first "tour." It is high energy, high stakes, and honestly, a little intimidating. #roomtour
