Why you need to drink Hibiscus Tea 🍵

My lovely ladies,

I am so pleased to share with you another divine nourishment of mine that will most certainly fill your cup.

If you have been looking for a new drink to indulge in, I highly recommend having a cup of hibiscus tea first thing in the morning, and right before bed.

Why? It’s simple.

Hibiscus tea is RED, meaning it is good for the blood. Consume this to lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

If you are anemic, hibiscus tea is high in iron.

If you are a wombman and are bleeding, hibiscus tea will help to soothe your menstrual cramps.

Remember, the color of your drink shows exactly where it benefits.

Bless you all and your bodies! Have a lovely Wednesday :)

... Read moreHey beauties, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into my absolute favorite, unsweetened hibiscus tea! While the original post touched on its amazing benefits, I find that embracing it unsweetened truly unlocks its full potential, especially when you're focusing on balancing blood pressure and sugar levels. It's a game-changer, trust me! First, let’s talk about *why unsweetened*. Many teas are loaded with sugar, which can counteract the very health benefits you're seeking. Unsweetened hibiscus tea allows you to enjoy its natural tart, cranberry-like flavor without the added sugars that can spike your blood glucose. This is particularly important if you're trying to manage blood sugar or just live a healthier, sugar-conscious lifestyle. Plus, when it comes to lowering blood pressure, keeping your sugar intake in check is key, and this dark red hibiscus tea is a perfect ally. Making your own unsweetened hibiscus tea is super simple. I usually steep dried hibiscus calyces (you can find them at most health food stores or online) in hot water for about 5-10 minutes. For a refreshing iced version, I brew it strong, let it cool, and then pour it over ice. Sometimes, I even prepare a big batch and keep it in a large glass jar in the fridge, just like the one in the picture, ready to go. It’s so convenient to have a healthy, vibrant drink always at hand! Now, for those who are new to unsweetened drinks, the tartness might be a bit surprising at first. But I encourage you to give it a few tries! Your taste buds truly adjust, and you'll start to appreciate its natural, refreshing zing. If you absolutely need a hint of sweetness, instead of refined sugar, I suggest adding a slice of fresh orange or a few mint leaves while it steeps for a subtle flavor boost. A tiny dash of natural stevia or monk fruit extract can also work, but my personal preference is to enjoy it as nature intended – pure and potent. The benefits we discussed earlier are amplified when you drink it unsweetened. For my wombman friends, the relief it brings during menstrual cramps is truly noticeable. I've found that a warm cup before bed helps soothe everything. And for those concerned about anemia, this tea is naturally high in iron, making it a delicious way to support your body. It's truly a powerhouse for blood health. The vibrant dark red color isn't just pretty; it's a visual cue of its rich antioxidant content, working wonders inside your body. Incorporating unsweetened hibiscus tea into my daily routine has been one of the best decisions for my well-being. Whether I'm sipping it warm in the morning to kickstart my day or enjoying a cool glass in the afternoon, I feel the difference – a gentle boost of energy, improved digestion, and just an overall sense of internal balance. Give it a try, and let this beautiful, unsweetened elixir nourish you from the inside out!
