New Project: Sean’s Home Office Update Part One
NEW PROJECT!!
After a very hectic summer we’re jumping back into home projects (finally!) starting with my husband’s home office/mini gym room.
Now this space started out as our junk room. It’s technically a bedroom but it is very tiny so we never intended to use it that way.
We want and need this project to be quick, easy & inexpensive. So with these as the goal we are trying to use decor we already own. We’ll be keeping his current (pretty basic) miter Ozer standing desk which is a dark toned wood. And we have this set of framed shibori art as well as shibori curtains (currently in our master) so those were the elements we focused the design around.
The items in the space:

▪️a loveseat
▪️Walking pad & weight bench/wrack
▪️a tv and tv until for storage
We settled on a a mid-century modern vibe so in terms of color we want to really find something fun and cool and really bring in that 60s mod vibe. Initially we were going to do a navy blue, and do a sort of monotone room. Possibly incorporating some white washed brick wallpaper on one of the walls. However, we know we’d just be creating work for ourselves in just a few months to undo it all as none of that really works well with the rest of the choice we have made in the rest of our home. Now, we’re leaning into shades of avocado & brown as they go with the vibe AND the warm earthy (mostly green) shades we have already utilized in our home.

The space is pretty dark-it only has one window in a corner so any color is going to a huge tonal variety depending on where you stand. I think we know which our pick is but I’d love to know…
