My personal Bible study must haves

Hi friends!! Here are my Bible must haves

Physical Bible:

I use a journaling ESV Bible for a majority of my studies. I put tabs on mine so I’m not struggle to find the books 😅. To protect my Bible, I got a Bible cover. Mine has a zipper pocket in the front and stationary pockets on the inside!

Stationary:

For highlighting, I really like the Pen and Gear gel highlighters. They don’t smudge very much and don’t bleed (you can still see them through the page if you use a darker color but you wont have ink blots!)

For writing, I love the classic BIC pens. They’re easy to hold and don’t tear up the page. And they’re cheap 😅

While I have a journaling Bible, I like to write in my Bible a lot. So I use sticky notes to supplement for extra space.

Apps:

I primarily use the Bible app. I have also used blue letter Bible but it’s not a go to. The Bible app has tons of plans, prayers, and translations. It’s very easy to navigate and they even have a widget option so everyday I see that days verse.

I also use a journal. But that’s a mix of prayers, songs, and notes 😅. The links to the Bible and Bible cover below

... Read moreWhen embarking on your Bible study journey, having the right essentials can significantly enhance your experience. A good starting point is selecting a physical Bible that resonates with you. Many enthusiasts prefer journaling Bibles for their ample writing space; the ESV translation is particularly popular because of its readability and clarity. To make navigating easier, consider adding tabs for quick reference. Incorporating quality stationery into your study routine can also improve your reflection process. Using gel highlighters, such as Pen and Gear, will allow you to emphasize key verses without the concern of smudging or bleeding through the pages, maintaining the integrity of your Bible. Pair these with reliable pens, like BIC Cristal, which are known for their affordability and ease of use, ensuring that your notes are neat and clear. Additionally, sticky notes can provide extra writing space for those moments when inspiration strikes, enabling you to jot down thoughts or prayers without altering the book's pages significantly. Don't forget to leverage technology in your studies! The Bible app is a stellar resource that offers diverse translations, reading plans, and other features designed to deepen your understanding of scripture. It's user-friendly and even allows for daily inspirational quotes right on your device's home screen. Blue Letter Bible is another option, though less commonly used, it still offers substantial resources for deeper studies. Finally, consider maintaining a dedicated journal for your prayers, insights, and reflections. This mixed-media approach can enrich your overall study experience, capturing thoughts that may otherwise be fleeting. With these tools, your Bible study sessions can become more organized, engaging, and spiritually fulfilling.
