You WON’T buy bread from the grocery store again!!

RECIPE DOWN BELOW 👇🏼👇🏼

Here it is!

My first EVER successfully baked loaf of Artisan Style Bread. My GO-TO for avocado toast in the morning or for an OOEY-GOOEY grilled cheese & tomato soup!!🥫

Last year for Christmas, I gifted most of my family fresh bread and let me tell you… it did NOT disappoint.

WARNING ⚠️

After you bake your first loaf… you will naturally want to bake more… for everyone. This makes a great gift!! besides who doesn’t like bread??

4 Ingredients… your body will THANK YOU.

INGREDIENTS:

3 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour (I use Bobs Red Mill Organic)

2 tsp Kosher Salt (I use Real Salt)

1/2 teaspoon Active Dry Yeast

1 1/4 cup WARM water (NOT HOT you will kill your yeast)

1. In a large bowl whisk flour, salt and yeast together until combined

2. Pour water into combined ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon. If dough isn’t sticking to itself, add a teaspoon of water. You want your dough sticky, it won’t look pretty, but trust the process!!!)

3. Once dough is incorporated, cover bowl with plastic cling wrap for 5-7 hours (the dough should double in size)

4. Preheat oven to 425° with Dutch oven inside

5. Scrape dough onto lightly floured surface

6. Pull and fold all four corners of dough into the center until a ball forms, flip dough ball over so the “pretty side” is facing up

7. Score the dough with a bread lame or razor blade down the center (if you’re feeling fancy you can google designs)☺️

8. Place dough ball into a preheated Dutch oven or any covered oven-safe container.

9. Bake for 30 minutes at 425°

10. After 30 minutes, remove Dutch oven lid and bake for another 15 minutes at 425° (this will give you that oh so CRISPY, CRUSTY outside)

ENJOY!! ☺️

... Read moreBaking fresh bread at home has never been easier! With just four simple ingredients—flour, salt, yeast, and warm water—you can create a delicious Artisan bread that elevates your meals. The process begins with combining the dry ingredients and incorporating the warm water to form a sticky dough. Allow your dough to rise for 5-7 hours, and you'll witness the magic of fermentation, doubling in size and developing a rich flavor. Preheating your Dutch oven before baking is key to achieving that perfect crust, while removing the lid halfway through the baking time ensures a crispy exterior. The high oven temperature facilitates a beautiful rise, known as oven spring, making your bread beautifully fluffy inside while maintaining a crunchy crust outside. Not only is this bread recipe simple and rewarding, but it also makes for a fantastic gift! Wrap a freshly baked loaf in parchment paper and tie it with a ribbon for a homemade present that friends and family will surely appreciate. Plus, enjoying this bread as the base for avocado toast or a classic grilled cheese is a delicious way to start your day or enjoy a cozy evening meal. Remember, homemade bread is about patience and practice. Don’t be discouraged by the process; the results are well worth it. Happy baking!
