Pickles
* 2 pickling cucumbers
* 1 1/2 cups of white vinegar
* 1 1/2 cups of water
* Red pepper flakes to taste
* Dill to taste
* Black Pepper to taste
* 1 1/2 tsp of salt
* 1 1/2 tbsp of sugar
* 4 cloves of garlic or to taste
Add vinegar, water, salt, and sugar into sauce pan & bring to a boil. In a jar add cucumbers and layer seasonings in between the layers as well as the garlic cloves. Once all the salt & sugar incorporates, pour over your cucumber mixture & cover. Let it cool on the counter & than refrigerate for 48 hours or more.
Picked onions
* 1 red onion
* 1/2 cup white vinegar
* 1/2 cup water
* Red pepper flakes to taste
* 1 1/2 tsp of salt
* 1 1/2 tbsp of sugar
Put all ingredients minus the onion into a saucepan and bring it to a boil & once all the salt & sugar incorporates, pour over your sliced onions & cover. Let it cool on the counter & than refrigerate for 48 hours or more.
