I’m officially a member of the pink army!!🩷💪🏾
This was the first year that I participated in the MudGirlRun and I will be going back and doing it every year. I absolutely loved it! I thought I would be bothered by all of the mud but it was so much fun.
So if you never heard of this run, it includes 3 miles with up to 17 obstacles in nothing but mud. You get down and dirty while experiencing teamwork and sisterhood. Highly recommend this.
Okay, so you've heard me rave about the MudGirlRun, but I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what makes it such an incredible experience, especially if you're thinking of joining the "Pink Army" yourself! As a first-timer, I was a little nervous about all the mud, but honestly, that's half the fun. First off, let's talk preparation. You don't need to be an Olympic athlete, but some basic fitness helps. More importantly, think about what you're wearing. I opted for comfortable athletic wear that I didn't mind getting completely trashed. Old running shoes are a must – trust me, they'll be unrecognizable by the end! Many of us sported our "PINK ARMY" headbands, which really added to the spirit. Don't forget essentials for after: a big towel, a full change of clothes (including underwear!), and several plastic bags for your muddy shoes and clothes. Some people even bring a small bucket of water for a quick rinse. The atmosphere at the "MUDGIRL" event is electric from the moment you arrive. Seeing the "MUDGIRL" banner and the "START" archway just pumps you up. The course itself is designed for fun and challenge. You'll encounter a variety of obstacles – crawling through "muddy obstacle pits," scaling walls, balancing, and sliding. What truly stands out is the incredible sense of camaraderie. When you're struggling on an obstacle, there's always someone there to lend a hand, cheer you on, or even just laugh with you as you get completely covered in mud. It's not about speed; it's about supporting each other and having a blast. The "sisterhood" aspect is so real; women of all ages and fitness levels are out there empowering one another. I ran in the South New Jersey 2024 event, and every moment was memorable. Conquering those 17 obstacles, even the ones that seemed daunting, gave me such a rush. The mud wasn't just dirt; it was a badge of honor! And crossing that finish line? Pure exhilaration! I proudly collected my "MudGirl medal," feeling like a true champion. Many of us gathered near the "WE CAN" banner afterwards, celebrating our achievements and snapping muddy selfies. It’s an amazing feeling to push your limits and realize what you're capable of. If you're on the fence, jump in! It's more than just a run; it's an empowering adventure that builds confidence and creates unforgettable memories. You don't need special skills, just a willingness to get dirty and have fun. I'm already planning for next year's event because I absolutely loved my first time as a member of the "Pink Army"! You might even want to get some "MUDGIRL" stickers for your cheeks just like some of us did for an extra festive touch!

You’re beautiful ❤️❤️
