Ingredients:

- 1 teaspoon salt

- ½ cup cold butter, cut into small pieces

- ¾ cup buttermilk

- *For the Sausage Gravy:*

- 1 pound breakfast sausage

- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

- 2 cups whole milk

- Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. *Make the Biscuits:*

- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

- Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

- Stir in buttermilk until dough forms.

- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.

- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

2. *Make the Sausage Gravy:*

- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces.

- Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until gravy thickens.
