Where Tenderness Makes Its Vow
He rested over me like shelter from a storm, his breath warm against my skin, his presence steady, grounding. The world outside the room seemed to fade until there was only the rhythm of two hearts learning the same language.
His mouth found my forehead first — slow, deliberate, as if sealing something sacred there. Again. And again. Then his lips returned to mine, urgent, searching, like he was trying to memorize the taste of my soul before time could steal it away.
“You know what that means,” he whispered, voice rough with feeling more than desire.
I didn’t speak.
I didn’t have to.
Some things live deeper than words.
A kiss there is not about passion. Not really. It is older than passion. It is the place you mark when you want someone safe. It is where you promise, without speaking, I will stand between you and the world when it turns cold.
It says:
I see you.
I honour you.
I choose you — not just tonight, not just in fire and longing — but in quiet mornings, in difficult seasons, in the ordinary spaces where real love proves itself.
In that stillness, wrapped in his warmth, I felt something inside me soften in a way that felt almost like surrender, but wasn’t. It felt like recognition. Like my spirit had exhaled after holding its breath for years.
There are moments when love is loud — reckless laughter, tangled sheets, racing pulses.
And then there are moments when love is silent, but heavier. Truer. The kind that settles into your bones and begins building a home there.
This was that kind of moment.
I felt held, not just in body, but in existence. Like I mattered beyond beauty, beyond desire, beyond what I could give. Like I was something to be protected, not possessed. Something to be treasured, not conquered.
And that was when it happened — quietly, almost invisibly.
I loved him deeper.
Deeper than before.
Deeper than I thought I was capable of loving anyone.
Not because of what we were sharing physically,
but because of what his gentleness said without trying to say anything at all.
He never asked for my heart.
He simply handled it like something fragile and priceless.
And maybe the most beautiful part of all —
he had no idea that in those fragile, breathing seconds,
he became more of my world than he already was.
Sometimes love doesn’t arrive like thunder.
Sometimes it arrives like a hand resting over your soul,
steady and warm,
promising nothing aloud,
yet somehow promising everything.

These are the thoughts and words of a man of woman that are truly in love, no matter why God put two souls together because they belong together words can never compare the love that God put between two souls and two hearts that are destiny to be together, no matter what. True love.
