places you forgot to clean but are FILTHY 😳

6/14 Edited to

... Read moreIn my experience maintaining a clean home, I've realized there are several spots that often escape regular attention but really need cleaning to maintain hygiene and comfort. For instance, drain covers can accumulate hair and grime quickly. I make it a habit to clear hair and scrub these every two weeks, which significantly reduces odors and blockages. Mattresses are another area that often goes unnoticed. While we change bed linens regularly, steam cleaning mattresses every 3 to 6 months helps eliminate dust mites and allergens. It really improved my sleep quality once I started doing this consistently. Curtains also tend to gather dust over time. Instead of washing them frequently, I use a vacuum or a gentle wipe every month to keep them fresh without hassle. Also, don't forget the spaces in between appliances, like the fridge and stove. These spots tend to collect crumbs and spills, so moving and cleaning behind them monthly keeps your kitchen more sanitary. Keeping these areas clean might not be obvious at first, but once incorporated into your routine, it makes a tremendous difference in overall home cleanliness and helps prevent potential health issues caused by dust, mold, or bacteria buildup. I highly recommend setting reminders for these tasks and making them part of your regular cleaning schedule.
