We should love God completely and totally, with every aspect of their being, including their emotions, mind, and physical actions; essentially prioritizing God above all else in their life.

To love the Lord our God with a Christ-like love, is only possible as His love is continuously poured into our heart. The more we imbibe Him, the deeper our love for Him will become. Indeed, as we witness the faithfulness of God in the difficult struggles of life and experience His tender mercies in the painful circumstances through which we must inevitably pass, our love for God can only deepen and strengthen- as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him.

May our heart-cry become; 'that I may love the Lord my God, with every fibre of my being, as I die to my own self-interest and live for Him alone'.

In Deuteronomy 6:5, we are reminded to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and might. This command serves as a guiding principle for believers, encouraging us to prioritize our relationship with God above all else. To cultivate a deep love for God, it is essential to engage in consistent prayer and meditation. By inviting God's love into our hearts, we position ourselves to reflect that love in our daily lives. Prayer plays a pivotal role in developing our relationship with God. Through prayer, we express our obedience, seeking to align our actions with His will. A heartfelt prayer asking for guidance in showing obedience, like, "God, teach me how to be more obedient and fill my heart with Your perfect love," can lead to spiritual growth. As we learn to offer every part of ourselves to God, we allow His love to guide our choices and interactions. Experiencing God’s faithfulness during difficult times can deepen our affection for Him. Each moment of struggle becomes an opportunity to witness His grace and mercy, ultimately enhancing our understanding of His unwavering love. It is through these trials that we learn more about who we are and the depth of God's love for us, creating a profound connection that leads to greater devotion. As we strive to live for God, our heart's desire should be to love Him wholeheartedly, echoing the prayer of surrender: ‘That I may love the Lord my God with every fiber of my being.’ This total surrender can lead to a transformative relationship, guiding our thoughts, actions, and emotions, and ultimately blessing our lives with peace and fulfillment.
