Before This Popular Food Spot Closes… 👀
If you’ve been meaning to visit DUDU Cantonese Cuisine, now might be the perfect time.
Tucked away in an industrial corner of Singapore, this place has built quite a loyal following. We visited on a Friday evening and were greeted by a long queue, a packed dining hall and a surprisingly warm, community atmosphere. It reminded us of the kampung style dining experiences, where food brings people together and everyone seems to know the place.
Naturally, we had to try Singapore’s 1st Crispy Orh Luak 新加坡首创酥脆蚝煎, the dish that put this spot on the map. We also ordered the Flaming Brinjal 火焰茄子, Cantonese Style Bull Frog 广式酱爆牛蛙 and Pork Collagen Soup w/ Lotus Roots & Peanuts 胶原花生莲藕汤.
🥣 The biggest surprise?
The Pork Collagen Soup w/ Lotus Roots & Peanuts quietly became our favourite. Rich, comforting and packed with tender ingredients, it was the dish we kept going back for throughout the meal.
✨ What stood out to us
• A lively atmosphere with a loyal following.
• A spacious, airy dining hall.
• A unique industrial estate location.
• A nostalgic, community feel that’s becoming harder to find.
👨👩👧👦 Great for
• Family dinners
• Group gatherings
• Foodies looking to discover somewhere different
• Anyone who enjoys classic Cantonese comfort food
With the current location set to close after July, we’re glad we finally made the trip and experienced it in its current home. We’ll be keeping an eye out for what’s next.
