Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken Seattle
📍2420 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134
I came for the chicken sandwich, but honestly everything on the menu impressed me.
Hangry Joe’s serves Nashville-style hot chicken with a Korean twist, and the first thing you’ll notice is the portion sizes. The chicken is so big it barely fits inside the bun.
What we tried:
🍔 Chicken Sando
🍔 Messy Sando
🧀 Loaded Mac & Cheese
🍗 Cheese Seasoned Wings
🧄 Soy Garlic Wings
The chicken was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. And while they’re known for their heat levels, I appreciated that the food wasn’t just spicy, it was actually well-seasoned and delicious.
The Soy Garlic wings were a standout for me, and if you’re a sandwich person, be prepared to get a little messy.
If you’re looking for a spot that doesn’t skimp on portions and delivers on flavor, Hangry Joe’s is worth checking out! #invited
If you're a fan of hot chicken and crave something with a unique twist, Hangry Joe’s in Seattle should definitely be on your radar. Their menu creatively blends Nashville’s iconic spicy chicken style with Korean flavors, giving a fresh and memorable taste experience. I was particularly impressed by how the menu balances heat with seasoning. The dishes aren’t just fiery, but also rich in flavor, which makes every bite enjoyable. The chicken itself is notably juicy and tender—the kind that leaves you satisfied and coming back for more. One of my favorite picks was the Soy Garlic wings. The garlicky, savory notes complemented the natural umami of the chicken perfectly, creating a standout bite that contrasts pleasantly with the typical spicy wings. If you like sandwiches, the Chicken Sando and Messy Sando are loaded with massive pieces of chicken that are messy but delicious, making for a truly indulgent meal. Additionally, the generous portion sizes are a highlight. In today’s fast-food world, it’s refreshing to find a place that doesn’t compromise on quantity or quality. With sides like loaded mac & cheese, the meal feels complete and satisfying. For anyone visiting Seattle, or local food lovers seeking bold, hearty flavors, Hangry Joe’s offers a bucket-list-worthy bite. Its Korean-Nashville fusion also reflects the exciting trend of combining regional flavors to create new culinary experiences. Don’t forget to take it easy with the spice levels if you’re sensitive, but definitely prepare to enjoy big flavors and a fun, casual dining atmosphere. Overall, it’s a must-try spot for anyone who appreciates well-crafted, flavorful, and filling hot chicken dishes packed with a unique twist.
