“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Born already fighting, I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at just 6 months old. At age 8, I developed sepsis and fell into a coma for four months. I woke up without my toes and fingertips—but with a heart beating with purpose.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
—Psalm 147:3 💔➕💖
Since then, my journey has included a hip replacement, a mastoidectomy, a brain surgery, a bladder implant, and bariatric surgery. Every scar is a survival song. Every trial has refined—not defined—me.
“We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”
—Romans 5:3–4 🙏
Now, I walk (sometimes hobble 😉) in faith as I study to become a chaplain for chronically ill children. My calling was carved through pain, but it is covered in grace.
“This happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
—John 9:3 🌟
