Negative thoughts?? Squash them 💪🏼
In adoration this morning I kept hearing the words.
“Be with me.”
It’s been a while since I’ve just ‘been’ with Jesus. Sitting calmly in His presence and soaking in His goodness.
Normally I do my to - do list of prayers. A routine would be a good way to describe it. Starting with my intentions to bring to adoration, my rosary, daily readings, journaling….
Which are all good things! The way I see it is sometimes we just need to relax and hang out with our best friends… and I just needed to hang out and soak in quality time with Jesus.
Those thoughts of being alone aren’t from The Father. Squash them! As the Lord to just ‘Be with you.’
Listen to Him.
Hear the truth!
You are good, worthy and loved!
Negative thoughts can be a significant barrier to emotional and spiritual well-being. Many individuals struggle with feelings of worthlessness or isolation, often mistaking these thoughts for the truth. It's essential to recognize that such negativity does not come from a loving source. Instead, embrace the promise of being cherished and valued. Engaging in mindfulness exercises, such as meditation or prayer, can significantly aid in combating these thoughts. By focusing on the present moment, individuals can redirect their attention from negative spirals to feelings of gratitude and connection. Creating a routine that includes positive affirmations or journaling can enhance self-awareness and reinforce self-worth. Community support is also crucial. Surrounding oneself with encouraging friends and fellow believers can help nurture a more positive mindset. Participating in group prayers or discussions can foster a sense of belonging and remind you that you are not alone in your struggles. Remember, it's okay to seek help. Whether through spiritual leaders, counseling, or support groups, speaking about these feelings can bring healing and clarity. At the heart of faith, lies the assurance that you are loved, and recognizing this truth is the first step in overcoming negativity.
