Get still today. God wants to reveal Himself to you in the quiet.
The disciples on the road to Emmaus walked miles with Jesus without recognizing Him. They were so consumed by their grief and confusion that they could not see who was right beside them.
It was not until they slowed down. Sat down. And broke bread together that their eyes were finally opened.
That is the invitation for you today.
All week you have been moving. Working. Thinking. Processing. And God has been right there with you through all of it. Speaking. Moving. Revealing. But sometimes we are so busy that we miss what He is trying to show us.
Today slow down enough to see Him.
Not in the noise. Not in the rushing. In the quiet. In the stillness. In the simple moment of opening His Word and saying God show me yourself today.
He will. He always does.
“Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him.” Luke 24:31 (NIV)
Their eyes were opened. That is available to you today too. Right now. In the quiet.
🤍 Be still today. Open your eyes. Let God reveal Himself to you in a way that changes how you see everything else.

... Read moreIn today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of stillness can feel challenging but deeply rewarding. Taking time to pause and be quiet isn’t just about resting your body; it’s about creating space in your mind and soul to notice what often goes unseen. Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, who were so overwhelmed by their emotions that they missed Jesus walking beside them, we too can get caught up in daily noise—whether it's work, worries, or endless to-do lists—and miss the subtle ways God reveals Himself.
From my own experience, I’ve found that dedicating a specific day or even just a few minutes each day to stillness dramatically changes my perspective. When I intentionally open a Bible verse like Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God," and invite God to reveal Himself, I become more aware of His presence even in the ordinary moments. For example, a simple act like sharing a meal with family, or enjoying a quiet walk, becomes spiritual as I consciously slow down and reflect.
This practice isn’t about empty silence but a purposeful encounter—a quiet meeting place where God whispers encouragement, offers peace, and shows clarity. Even in grief or confusion, stillness can bring insight and healing, just like it did for those disciples. By breaking bread or simply pausing, their eyes were opened, and their hearts transformed.
I encourage you to create your own 'Stillness Saturday' or any quiet time during the week. Disconnect from distractions, take a deep breath, and silently ask God, "Show me Yourself today." You might be surprised how often He answers in subtle, beautiful ways that change everything about how you see your life.
Remember Jeremiah 33:3: "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Stillness is where you make that call. Give yourself permission to stop rushing and welcome the soulful metamorphosis that happens when you slow down and really see.
