THE POST THAT STARTED IT ALL
never in a million years would I have guessed that 4 years ago I would post a little skit about a real event that happened at one of my first jobs and suddenly hundreds of thousands of strangers would become interested in my life, my personality, my interactions with my children, and show so much love and support. I think I've definitely taken tiktok for granted, but mostly because of the impostor syndrome I feel. if the app goes away, I always say that I would go away with it. I just barely have the time to post on one app, let alone trying to post on three just to stay relevant. but that's not why I do it. I've had so many of you tell me how you started off with a bad day, but watching one of my videos made you smile. reading everyone's comments on how our posts have made you laugh, have made you think, have made you see things in a different light ... that's the only reason I would keep going.
I just heard the extended the deadline for The Tick Tock band so I think I'm going to take that time to try to download as many of my posts as possible and place them on other apps so that they're available to as many people in as many places in case Tick Tock does go away. I'll try to work on new material as well but it's a really busy time for me at work right now and until I can get back on track, I hope you living some of my most viral moments will keep things afloat until I have more time.
