If fear is controlling your thoughts… read this

I used to let fear run my thoughts…

overthinking everything, doubting myself, feeling stuck.

But this verse? It changed how I see EVERYTHING.

God didn’t give us fear.

So if it’s taking over your mind… it’s not from Him.

✨ Come back to this:

Power

Love

A sound mind

Save this for when your mind starts spiraling again 🤍

... Read moreFear can be overwhelming, often causing us to overthink, doubt ourselves, and feel trapped in our own minds. For a long time, I struggled with these exact feelings—allowing fear to dictate my thoughts and hold me back from living fully. What truly helped me was meditating on the verse from 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." This scripture became a powerful anchor whenever anxiety started to spiral. Instead of surrendering to fear, I reminded myself that fear isn’t from God, that He desires for us to live empowered and loved. This shift in perspective helped me break free from the cycle of worry. Implementing this truth into daily life means actively choosing faith over fear. I started journaling moments when fear tried to take hold and countering those thoughts with affirmations of strength, love, and calm reasoning. It’s not always easy, but returning to these principles grounded me. Another practical step I found useful is surrounding myself with uplifting content and communities focused on mindset growth and healing. Engaging with supportive voices helped me maintain that sound mind and reminded me I’m not alone in this journey. If you find fear creeping into your thoughts, try pausing and reciting this verse or writing down the words “Power, Love, a Sound Mind” as a mantra. Over time, these reminders can transform how you perceive challenges and cultivate resilience rooted in faith.

OCD doesn’t get the final say. My thoughts aren’t facts—they’re just thoughts. I can let them pass without chasing them, trust that I’m safe in this moment, and allow joy in without fear. Uncertainty is part of being human, and I’m learning to meet it with courage instead of control. 💜✨ #OCDRec
