My Fitness Journey

Hi. This is my first time posting!! I don’t prefer to show my face but I am doing a weight loss/get fit Journey with my Husband! He started his a while back and I have restarted mine recently. My heaviest I was 270 ish. I got sick during Covid and lost part of my lung so I lost a good bit of weight from not being eating during this time. Then I gained some back but I am wanting to lose it and get to my ultimate goal of 175 or lower. Really the healthy weight for me at 5’4”. Anywhoz I am hoping to find inspiration and motivation from you lovely people! My pictures are the ending weights from leg day today. Thank you in advance for anything kind and/or motivational you can say or leave or even advice you can give recipes that are low/no carb/sugar. God Bless and look out for another post!

... Read moreEmbarking on a weight loss and fitness journey, especially after significant health challenges like losing part of a lung due to COVID-19, requires not only physical commitment but also mental resilience and well-planned nutrition. A crucial part of achieving your goal weight of 175 lbs at a height of 5'4" is a balanced approach focusing on both diet and exercise. Since you mentioned ending your leg day workouts with specific focus on quads and calves (as referenced by your workout image showing "Journey Fitness My Quads calves and LEGEXTENSION"), incorporating strength training can help increase muscle mass, which boosts metabolism and aids in fat loss. Targeted leg exercises build lower body strength and can improve overall fitness. Nutrition plays a vital role in this journey. Low-carb and low-sugar diets are popular for weight loss because they help regulate insulin levels and reduce calorie intake. Emphasizing whole, unprocessed foods such as lean proteins, healthy fats (like avocado and nuts), and vegetables can sustain energy levels and support muscle recovery. Moreover, staying hydrated, managing portion sizes, and including occasional indulgences can improve adherence to your new lifestyle over time. It’s also beneficial to track progress through photos or journaling to maintain motivation. Lastly, seeking inspiration and support from fitness communities, coaches, or forums can provide both accountability and encouragement. Remember, consistency and patience are key. Every small improvement adds up to significant changes in health and well-being. Stay positive and keep pushing toward your goals—your journey can inspire many others facing similar challenges.

My fitness journey ~ real life
I’ve been consistently working out and being food conscious for a while now. It’s still a struggle every day to wake up, eat clean, move my body, and get enough rest. Give yourself some grace. It’s never going to be easy. You just have to want it enough to be disciplined. #getfitwithme💪🏽 #fitnes

3 mistakes I made early in my fitness journey ✨
You all loved the last one so here’s another one 🥳 Please please please don’t cut your calories down to 1200-1500 calories, you’re doing more harm than good. With losing weight most people think that you have to go to extremes with your diet and eat salads and chicken and broccoli everyday. That

Things I learned on my fitness journey.
1.) Don’t rely solely on motivation. You’re not going to always be motivated. Just be consistent and keep showing up for yourself. 2.) Slow progress is better than no progress. 3.) The more you show up the easier it is to form healthy habits and make fitness apart of your lifestyle. 4.) No

A woman in light blue athletic wear stands outdoors, looking over her shoulder. The image features the title "Mistakes I would avoid IF I WAS NEW TO THE GYM AGAIN," setting the theme for fitness advice.
A smiling woman in a hat holds a bitten slice of watermelon while in the water. The text overlay emphasizes "FOOD IS NOT AN ENEMY," explaining that increased calorie intake led to desired fitness results.
A close-up shows a person's feet in white socks and light-colored sneakers on a tiled floor. The text states, "MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE NOT PUNISHMENT," advising to get back on track normally after missing workouts or eating indulgently.
MISTAKES I WOULD AVOID IN MY FITNESS JOURNEY!
If I were to do it all over again these are the things I would tell myself to avoid making some of the same mistakes I did that just cost me time:) It’s ok to learn from your mistakes too and what works for me might not work for everyone so just keep that in mind. #Lemon8partner #workout
