What the 100-kilo field taught me
It's not just the healthy body to get through it, it's the mind to be trained.
The 100 kilo run is a long game of planning and preparation, which we can actually prepare before competing.
But as a matter of mind, as a matter of identity and individual experience, over the course of 28 hours, I talked to myself countless times, and that's what helped me get to the finish line.
1. Do your best in front of you first
In the field, there will be Cut-off Time at every station if it does not go in time.
Many times, we often skip the step of having five or ten minutes left, and it won't end, but it undermines our encouragement and our ability to run.
Gradually, five kilos and ten kilos at a time, and it'll be 100 kilos.
Don't let all the distance break the pace in front of you.
2. Believe in yourself
At this point, it means not having an ego, but if we are best prepared and have a plan, believe in ourselves.
Many times, we can be distracted by being last, seeing many friends who come before us leave the competition.
But to answer yourself
Why are we leaving?
Because according to others?
Or because we've actually evaluated it ourselves.
If you can keep going, keep going.
3. Make it full before thinking of giving up
Before leaving the competition, which has this idea all the time.
With a very tired body, a hot sun, little time left.
I always ask myself,
"Are we doing our best?"
The answer keeps me going, because the mind of giving up always tests us when we're weak, and it's so powerful.
So I always have to remind myself that
"Are we doing our best?"
4. Hope is what keeps us going.
I always had hope.
Logically, I ran half 50K and had very little time.
It definitely never ends.
But I think we're half past that.
In front of what will happen, it will happen.
We'll never know the future until we try.
Whatever happens, it will decide.
Sometimes things that seem impossible can happen because we don't stop walking.
5. Be cheerful.
100 kilometers is more than 28 hours.
There is a good attitude, but fatigue from the brain and body can affect many decisions.
Find a rhythm, enjoy yourself, play your favorite song, make it like playing a game through the stage.
Keep running, keep picking up the points, watch the beautiful view, eat the delicious snacks prepared.
Smile.
Find something to smile about. It'll be fine.
Sometimes a small smile helps get through the hardest of times.

จากประสบการณ์วิ่งเทรลมาระยะไกล พอได้ลองวิ่งระยะ 100 กิโลเมตรจริงๆ มันไม่ใช่แค่เรื่องของความแข็งแรงทางร่างกายอย่างเดียว แต่ความอึดของจิตใจและการวางแผนการวิ่งนั้นสำคัญมาก อย่างที่เล่ามาในโพสต์ การตั้งเป้าทำทีละก้าว ทีละระยะ ช่วยลดความกดดันและทำให้เราสามารถโฟกัสกับสิ่งที่อยู่ตรงหน้าได้ดีขึ้น ผมเองเคยรู้สึกท้อแท้ตอนวิ่งที่ระยะ 60-70 กิโลเมตร เพราะร่างกายเริ่มล้าและความร้อนก็มาเยือน แต่เมื่อผมเปลี่ยนมาสนุกกับบรรยากาศรอบตัว เปิดเพลงโปรดและคุยกับตัวเองให้กำลังใจซ้ำๆ ก็ช่วยเพิ่มพลังใจขึ้นมาได้ นอกจากนี้ การยิ้มและมองหาสิ่งดีเล็กๆรอบตัวช่วยลดความตึงเครียด และทำให้สมองพร้อมรับมือกับความเหนื่อย จุดสำคัญอีกอย่างคือการเชื่อมั่นในแผนและในตัวเอง หากเตรียมตัวมาเป็นอย่างดีแล้วก็ไม่ควรเสียกำลังใจเพราะลำดับที่วิ่งหรือเพื่อนที่ออกก่อนเราจะทำให้เราหมดแรงใจ การถามตัวเองเสมอว่า "นี่เราทำเต็มที่แล้วใช่ไหม" คือการย้ำเตือนให้เราไม่ยอมแพ้ก่อนจะถึงเส้นชัย สำหรับนักวิ่งเทรลที่คิดจะลองวิ่ง 100 โล แนะนำให้ฝึกซ้อมทั้งทางกายและทางใจอย่างสม่ำเสมอ วางแผนการพัก การเติมพลัง และเตรียมรับมือกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่อาจเกิดขึ้นในสนามจริง ทั้งนี้การมีทัศนคติที่ดีและความหวังจะเป็นแรงผลักดันสำคัญที่ทำให้ผ่านความท้าทายนี้ไปได้ สุดท้าย การวิ่งระยะไกลไม่เพียงแต่เป็นการพิชิตระยะทางแต่ยังช่วยให้เราได้ค้นพบตัวเอง เข้าใจจิตใจของตัวเองมากขึ้น และสร้างความมั่นใจในศักยภาพของตนเอง ซึ่งถือเป็นของขวัญที่แท้จริงจากการวิ่ง 100 กิโลเมตร
