I've been looking for a mom-to-travel shop lately, and I've found a shuwong shop, an ancient Thai dessert shop that's been open for almost 80 years, hidden in a lottery stall at the intersection of the cow stables.

The impressive thing is that the shop also makes desserts at almost every step, from flour to baking candles, the aroma of old Thai desserts.

ในฐานะคนที่ชอบพาแม่ไปหาของอร่อยแบบจริงใจ ร้านชูถิ่นถือเป็นความประทับใจที่อยากบอกต่อจริงๆค่ะ ร้านนี้นอกจากความเก่าแก่เกือบ 80 ปีแล้ว ยังซ่อนตัวอย่างแนบเนียนในแผงขายล็อตเตอรี่ ทำให้ยิ่งรู้สึกเหมือนค้นพบสมบัติของแท้เลย ร้านทำขนมเองตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนแรกอย่างการนวดแป้ง การเตรียมเทียนอบขนม กลิ่นหอมที่อบรวมกับกะทิเข้มข้น ตามแบบฉบับขนมไทยสมัยก่อน รู้สึกได้ถึงความตั้งใจและความพิถีพิถันที่คงไว้ ไม่ใช่แค่ทำเพื่อขายแบบทั่วๆ ไปค่ะ สลิ่มของที่นี่เส้นนุ่มมากๆ หอมกลิ่นควันเทียน และรสชาติกะทิที่เข้มข้นกำลังดี ส่วนขนมชั้นใช้แป้งท้าวยายม่อมแท้ เนื้อสัมผัสนุ่มหนึบกว่าที่เคยลองที่ไหนมาก่อน ใครรักขนมไทยแท้ๆ ต้องลอง ส่วนข้าวตูที่ปกติหาทานยาก ก็ยังคงรสชาติแบบดั้งเดิมไว้ได้ดีมาก ร้านนี้เหมาะกับใครที่อยากพาแม่มาทำกิจกรรมในวันแม่ ชมเมืองเก่าและลองของอร่อยแบบไทยแท้ๆ แบบนี้ นอกจากนี้ยังสะดวกทั้งการเดินทางด้วย MRT สถานีสามยอด สามารถเดินแค่ประมาณ 10 นาที และมีที่จอดรถสบายๆ ที่วัดมหรรณพ คิดค่าจอดแค่ชั่วโมงละ 20 บาท ทำให้การมาเที่ยวเมืองเก่าพร้อมทานขนมไทยแท้ๆ เป็นเรื่องง่ายขึ้นมากค่ะ ถ้าอยากหาวันพักผ่อนแบบสงบๆ ใช้เวลากับแม่แบบใกล้ชิด เพลิดเพลินกับบรรยากาศร้านลับที่มีประวัติศาสตร์ และทานขนมไทยฝีมือโบราณแท้ ร้านชูถิ่นคือคำตอบที่ไม่ควรพลาดเลยค่ะ นอกจากได้กินอร่อยแล้วยังได้ซึมซับกลิ่นอายวัฒนธรรมไทยอย่างแท้จริง
