Mood Boosting Hot Cocoa
Something sweet right in the morning helps me get my day started when I feel like ending it all. This is my spiced Maca hot cocoa.
Recipe:
A packet of hot cocoa or your own homemade mix
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
One teaspoon of Maca root powder
Hot Water or milk of your choice
Topping:
Whipped Cream
Cinnamon
Tips:
Measure spices with your heart
Sift Maca (can be clumpy)
Use a smaller cup , makes it feel more rich and for me personally I’m more likely to drink it all.
AVOID using Maca if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also if you have thyroid issues.
Maca helps with mood, libido, and hormonal balance. Do your own research though. It never hurts. 💗✨

Starting my day with a warm and sweet drink has been a true lifesaver during stressful times. This spiced hot cocoa with Maca root is not only delicious but also gives me a comforting mood lift when mornings feel overwhelming. I love adding cinnamon and nutmeg to enhance both the flavor and the warming effect, which makes sipping slower and more relaxing. Using Maca root powder can really boost your energy and hormone balance, though I always remind myself to avoid it if pregnant, breastfeeding, or having thyroid concerns—it's important to be cautious. I usually sift the Maca powder to avoid clumps and prefer a smaller cup as it makes the drink feel richer and more satisfying. Plus, topping with a little whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of cinnamon elevates the cozy factor. If you like a creamy texture, using warm milk instead of hot water is fantastic, creating a velvety consistency that's a treat for your taste buds. This hot cocoa is not just a drink but a mood booster that helps me embrace the day ahead with a bit more positivity. For anyone looking to add a natural mood-enhancing supplement to their routine, this recipe is an easy and enjoyable way to start. I always recommend doing your own research before regularly using Maca root to understand its benefits and any potential effects on your body. Sharing this recipe has become a way for me to spread a little warmth and encouragement to others who might be having rough mornings too.
