Mental wellness essentials 🌸✨

Hey all ❤️ here are some of my go-to’s when I notice that my mental health can use some TLC - usually when I’m very stressed!

🌱deep breathing: try to follow a deep breathing YouTube video for a few minutes! There are different techniques that focus on different things: relaxation, decreasing stress, preparing for sleep, etc

🌱”oh well” mentality: something stressing you out but you can’t change it? Did you make a mistake that you can’t undo? This doesn’t ALWAYS apply, but sometimes allowing yourself to say “oh well” helps you let go of things you can’t control, reducing stress.

🌱go outside: this is scientifically proven to boost your mood! Fresh air is fantastic and does WONDERS for your mental health.

🌱self care: it’s so easy to get caught up in doing everything for everyone else or even getting sucked into the never ending loop of work. Take time for YOU and do things that help you relax! If you can, take some time to yourself and just enjoy the silence while you do things for you.

... Read moreMental wellness is crucial in today’s fast-paced world, and understanding how to nurture it can significantly enhance your quality of life. One effective technique is deep breathing, which can help regulate stress and promote relaxation. Various online resources offer guided deep breathing exercises tailored to different needs, such as preparing for sleep or enhancing focus. Adopting a mindset of acceptance, or the 'oh well' mentality, allows individuals to release their grip on situations beyond their control, leading to a more serene state of mind. When faced with challenges, accepting imperfections and focusing on what can be changed fosters resilience and emotional strength. It is also well-established that spending time outdoors boosts mood and mental clarity. Nature offers a calming environment, encouraging mindfulness and presence, which are vital for mental health. Simple activities like walking in the park or enjoying a quiet moment in your garden can do wonders for your mental state. Lastly, prioritizing self-care is essential. Setting aside time for activities you love and that nurture your spirit helps combat burnout. Self-care is not selfish; it’s about maintaining balance in your life, ensuring you can support others and fulfill your responsibilities without losing yourself in the process. Engage in hobbies, read, or simply enjoy quiet moments to replenish your energy.
