nursing must haves that id buy again!!

if I had a third baby I’d run to buy these (and so much more, lmk if you want a part two!!)

i rounded up my favorite things that got me through the cluster feeds, the engorged days, the pumping sessions in mall parking lots, and everything in between 💪🏼🍼

whether you’re exclusively nursing, pumping, combo-feeding, or just starting out these are the things I used constantly during my feeding journey with both girls. most of them you can grab at Target (because duh), and a few are holy grails that I had to include even if they weren’t.

THERES ALSO ONE DISHONORABLE MENTION… sooooo gimmicky, it’s a hard pass for me!!

... Read moreNavigating the breastfeeding journey can feel overwhelming, especially with so many products out there! As a mom who's been through it twice, I've learned a lot about what truly makes a difference. One item that often comes up in conversations, and that I found incredibly helpful, is the nipple shield. Demystifying the Nipple Shield: My Experience with the Munchkin Flow Nipple Shield When I first started nursing, I wasn't sure if I'd ever need a nipple shield. But for many moms, including myself at times, they can be a game-changer. I personally found the Munchkin Flow Nipple Shield + with See-Thru Channel to be incredibly useful during those initial weeks when my little one was still figuring out their latch, or if I was experiencing some tenderness. The 'see-thru channel' feature was actually brilliant because it helped me visually confirm that milk was flowing, which gave me so much peace of mind. If you're struggling with latch issues, pain, or have flat/inverted nipples, don't hesitate to talk to a lactation consultant about whether a nipple shield might be right for you. They can really help bridge the gap while you and baby learn together. Remember to get properly sized for it; it makes all the difference! Beyond the Latch: Essential Tools for Every Nursing Mom Once you get past the initial hurdles, having the right tools to support your supply and comfort is key. For pumping on the go or just having more freedom around the house, a good hands-free pump is priceless. The Momcozy M5 Hands-Free Breast Pump Set is a fantastic option that allows you to collect milk discreetly and efficiently. It’s compact, comfortable, and perfect for multitasking moms. And let's not forget the magic of a silicone pump for catching that precious letdown! I swear by the Haakaa Gen. 2 Silicone Breast Pump & Flower Stopper Set. It's amazing how much milk you can collect passively from the non-nursing side. It helped me build a freezer stash without even trying too hard! Speaking of stash, you're going to need reliable storage. While some free bags might come with your pump, I quickly learned their quality can be hit or miss. Investing in good quality bags, like the Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags, is worth it to prevent leaks and ensure your hard-earned milk is safe. Their durability and easy-pour spout were big winners for me. Hydration and Nourishment: Caring for Yourself While Nursing Nursing takes a lot out of you, so staying hydrated is non-negotiable. I discovered an amazing product called Legendairy Milk She's Thirsty Watermelon Coconut Water Electrolyte Mix. It was a delicious way to replenish electrolytes and stay on top of my fluid intake, which is crucial for milk production and overall energy. Trust me, you'll feel the difference! And for those inevitable aches and pains or even just some self-care, having a Frida Mom Breastfeeding Survival Kit on hand is super smart. The hot and cold packs are lifesavers for engorgement or clogged ducts. Plus, it’s always good to have a few extra essentials like nursing pads, though I found the generic up&up Disposable Nursing Pads to be just as effective as the pricier brands. Finally, for little ones entering the teething phase, those Munchkin Silicone Baby Food Freezer Trays can be repurposed to make breastmilk pops. It's a wonderful, natural way to soothe their gums while still giving them the goodness of your milk. Every mom's journey is unique, but these are some essentials that truly made my experience smoother and more comfortable.
